Form Analytics Pro 2.0: a rebuilt analytics engine for Gravity Forms

Today we’re releasing Form Analytics Pro 2.0 — a major update that rebuilds the plugin’s analytics engine from the ground up for accuracy and reliability.

Numbers you can trust

Version 2.0 introduces Sessions and Starts: conversion and abandonment rates are now measured against unique visitors and real form engagement instead of raw render counts, which reload-inflate the denominator. You choose the basis in Settings — sessions, starts, or both side by side. The result is a conversion rate that means what you think it means.

Field analytics, down to the input

Multi-input fields like Name and Address now break down per input, so you can see that it’s the ZIP code — not the whole address block — where people stall. Every screen shows real field labels, and validation errors are counted server-side per field, so error analytics are exact for both AJAX and standard forms even when a visitor’s browser blocks scripts.

Abandonment and funnels, done right

Abandonment tracking records exactly one abandonment per visitor per form — no duplicates, no false alarms from a stray mouse movement — and clears itself automatically if the visitor comes back or submits. Conversion funnels now cover every multi-page form, whether it uses AJAX or standard page transitions: the first page counts from the moment it renders, and the final page completes on submission.

Built for the real web

The new tracker is a single dependency-free script (no jQuery) that loads only on pages containing a form and embeds nothing time-sensitive in your pages — so tracking keeps working behind full-page caches and CDNs. Privacy defaults are hardened: IP addresses are anonymized and administrators excluded out of the box, and field values are never collected. The dashboard has been redesigned around a simple structure — Overview, a full per-form report, Real-Time, and Tools — with charts bundled locally.

A fresh start for your data — with nothing deleted

Because 2.0 stores analytics in a new, more accurate format, collection starts fresh when you update. The update deletes nothing: any data recorded by earlier versions is preserved as a read-only archive you can download as CSV — or remove — from the Tools tab whenever you like. Your Gravity Forms entries and view counts are not affected in any way.
